Kata Noi is actually the southern part of ‘Kata Beach’, as the beach is actually divided in two by a rocky headland. Kata Noi attracts visitors of all ages due to it’s wide range of facilities available and activities to do. From shopping to surfing, there is truly something to do for everyone without the seedy hustle endemic of Patong up the coast.
Although this isn’t the place for you if you are looking for seclusion and privacy, as this is quite a popular area, you will find lots of things to do and lots of other easy-going visitors to clink beers with. The fine white sands and crystal waters found in the secluded bay of Kata Noi will fail to disappoint.

Located right on the beach, this fine-dining restaurant has views of Phuket’s spectacular sunset, which provides a very romantic atmosphere. Do not be put off by the fact that this restaurant is perhaps a bit fancier than the other restaurants in Phuket, because there is also a well-priced and extensive children’s menu if you are looking for a nice family meal out.
Not only will the Mediterranean fusion dishes and the extensive wine list amaze you, but also the service is impeccable – providing all the little touches to make your meal as memorable as possible. Although definitely a little more pricier than it’s surrounding restaurants, it is definitely worth a visit.
Tucked down an alley, this Italian restaurant is highly recommended and is very popular in peak season; so it is definitely suggested that you book in advance.
The pastas and sauces are all made fresh, and you can definitely taste it. The ravioli and gnocchi are exceptional, and this restaurant also serves a number of other delicious dishes such as risotto, pizzas, calzones and veal Milanese. This is probably not the best place for an intimate and romantic dinner, but Capannina is definitely worth visiting if you want good and honest Italian food.
